Welcome

Hello and welcome to our website. Let me tell you about Fiona Egan. Fiona was a normal, healthy three year old girl until nine weeks ago she suddenly stopped breathing and started having seizures. This has been her mother, Desiree’s, worst nightmare come true. After many days of intensive testing in the hospital, and many near death nights, she is being transfered to a new hospital in Colorado. While the doctors still are unable to pinpoint the cause of her illness, maybe this transfer can save her life. We are asking for financial help to send her and her mother out to Colorado for what could be their last hope. Please, help us help her. We love you Fiona

On 3/27/2010, we launched our new website. We invite you to take a look around the website and tell your friends to come see us too by using our new Spread the Word website tool.

3/29/2010 - Updates

We will post updates on Fiona's condition once a week. Fiona is now off of plasmapheresis, and the doctor's have her on a diet of five carbs a week with a high fat and oil content. She is moving very slightly, but still not able to sit up or even support her own head for more than a couple of minutes. Fiona is making a few moaning and crying noises; however, she continues not to speak. We continue to pray for Fiona and hope that she will recover.

4/5/2010 - Updates

Fiona is being transfered to Denver, CO tomorrow, and we pray that she will find help out there. Fiona's condition continues to be the same, and the Dr's continue to be puzzled by her case. The bake sale was a huge sucess, but we all got sunburnt. We will continue to raise money to support Fiona throughout this difficult time.

4/8/10 - Colorado

Fiona is finally getting transferred today to the Children's Epilepsy Hospital in Denver Colorado. She was supposed to be moved on the 6th, but due to the doctors finding blood in her urine, they postponed the trip until tests could be run. We continue to pray for her mom, Desiree, and for Fiona to make a full recovery.

4/12/10 - Diagnosis

Fiona has been out in Denver for four days and now the doctors think they know the cause of her illness. She has been throwing up and hasn't been sleeping well lately, so the doctors are putting her feeding tube straight into her intestines. We are still waiting on the news of the official diagnosis, but it looks like the doctors out in Denver have given us a ray of light. We continue to pray for our dear little Fiona, and we pray that the doctors have found the answers we need!
